The Raypak 010386F is the genuine OEM wire harness kit for millivolt pool heaters, covering models 206A, 266A, 336A and 406A.

Millivolt, not electronic

This harness is for the millivolt versions of those heaters. Millivolt systems have no external power: the pilot flame heats a thermopile, and the tiny voltage it generates is what holds the gas valve open. Electronic ignition models are wired differently and take a different harness.

Why the wiring is the fault more often than you would expect

Because the whole control circuit runs on a fraction of a volt, resistance that would be invisible on a line voltage circuit is enough to shut the heater down. A green terminal, a chafed wire against a sheet metal edge, or a connector that has been pulled and pushed too many times will produce a heater that lights and then drops out, or one that will not light at all. Chasing those faults one splice at a time rarely ends well, which is why Raypak sells the harness as a kit.

What you get

The kit comes with the connectors already terminated, so the replacement goes in the way the factory built it rather than as a set of crimps made in the equipment pad.
