The Raypak 009505 is the PoolStat cover with lock, the genuine factory cover for the PoolStat temperature control on Raypak pool heaters.

What it is for

The cover fits over the PoolStat control and locks shut. That keeps the set temperature from being nudged by anyone who walks past the heater, which matters on rental properties, HOA pools and clubs where gas use has to be predictable. It also keeps weather and grit off the control.
