The symptom

A heater that shows nothing at the display while there is power at the terminal block and gas at the valve. The rocker switch is the last thing between the two, and it is the part most likely to have failed, because contacts that carry a load arc a little every single time they open.

What to expect

It is a small part with two connections and it drops into the same opening. The one thing worth taking seriously is the voltage: shut the heater off at the breaker before opening the panel, and if working around live wiring is not your area, hand it to a pool technician.

Which heaters does this switch fit?
The source gives two readings and we have kept both. The part is titled for the RP2100 digital gas models R185B through R405B, and it is also listed as fitting models 130A, 206A, 207A, 266A, 267A, 336A, 337A, 406A and 407A. It may fit further Raypak heaters, so compare it with the switch you are removing.
How do I know the switch has failed?
A heater with gas and power at the terminal block but a dead display is the classic case. Rocker switch contacts arc every time they open, and eventually they burn away or weld shut.
Is it a genuine Raypak part?
Yes. It is the Raypak OEM rocker switch, part number 009493F.
Can I change it myself?
