The Raypak 009220 is the high altitude build of the R206A digital natural gas pool heater, model P-R206A-EN-C #51. It puts out 199.5K BTU and is set up for installations between 2000 and 6000 ft elevation.
Why altitude matters
Air thins as you climb, and a burner orificed for sea level runs rich at 5000 ft. Raypak builds a separate version for the higher band so combustion stays clean and the heater delivers the output it is rated for. If your equipment pad sits below 2000 ft, order the standard model instead, Raypak part 009216.
Construction
A copper heat exchanger carries the heat into the water, and polymer headers stand up to the corrosion that eventually finds metal headers. The cabinet, controls and burner follow the R206A design that Raypak has built for years.
Controls
Temperature is set on the digital panel and the burner lights electronically, so there is no standing pilot to relight after a windy night.

What does the high altitude version change?
It is set up for the thinner air found between 2000 and 6000 ft, so the burner still gets the air it needs for clean combustion and full output at that elevation.
I am closer to sea level. Is this the right heater?
No. Below 2000 ft the equivalent model is the standard P-R206A-EN-C, Raypak part 009216. Order the version that matches your elevation.
What fuel does it run on?
Natural gas. It uses electronic ignition rather than a standing pilot.
How does it ship?
By freight. A full size gas heater is far too large and heavy for parcel carriers, so plan for a curbside delivery.
