⌄The Raypak 014933F is the cupro-nickel tube bundle for the 406A pool and spa heater built with polymer headers. It is the genuine Raypak part and the core of the heat exchanger, the run of finned tubes that pool water passes through while the burners heat it from below.
Why cupro-nickel
Cupro-nickel is copper alloyed with nickel. It holds up to corrosion better than plain copper, which is the usual reason a heater needs a new bundle in the first place: low pH, high chlorine or poor water balance eating into the tubes until they scale, pit or leak. Replacing the bundle with the more resistant alloy addresses the failure rather than repeating it.
Before you order
Raypak builds the 406A with either polymer or bronze ASME headers, and the two take different tube bundles. This one is for the polymer header heater. The bronze ASME 406A and 407A use Raypak 017981F. Check the header material on your heater before ordering.
