The Waterway 229-8050 is the Poly Storm gunite jet internal in the thread-in directional style, with a textured 5-scallop face in white. It measures 3-3/8 inch.

What part of the jet this is

A gunite jet is built in two halves. The body is plumbed and set into the shell when the pool is built, and it stays there. The internal is the piece you see and the piece that wears, and it threads into that body. That means a tired or discolored jet is a straightforward replacement without touching the plumbing behind the wall.

Directional face

The directional internal lets the stream be aimed, so flow can be pointed along a bench, away from a seat, or toward a corner that needs circulation. The 5-scallop textured face is the Poly Storm look, so it will match other Poly Storm jets on the same shell and will not match a different series.

Is this the whole jet or just the internal?
Just the internal. It threads into the Poly Storm gunite jet body that is already set into the pool or spa shell.
What does directional mean here?
