Product details

The SuperPro SUPER120020 is a quiet pool and spa air blower rated at 2 HP on 120 volts.

What a blower does

Two separate things feed a spa. The pump handles water, and the blower handles air. Without the blower, jets push a plain stream of water, and the bubbling action people actually buy a spa for is missing. The same unit also feeds bubbler rings and air channels built into pool benches and tanning ledges.

When to replace one

A blower that hums but moves no air, that runs noticeably hotter or louder than it used to, or that trips its circuit is finished. Blowers live outdoors, breathe damp air and run under load, and they do not last as long as the pump beside them.

Installation

This is the 120 volt version. Electrical work belongs to a qualified electrician, done to local code with the circuit isolated, and the blower must be mounted and plumbed so water cannot run back into it.
