Product details

The Regular Gizzmo is a skimmer freeze protection device, 9 in. long with 1-1/2 in. tapered pipe threads. It threads into the skimmer at closing and absorbs the expansion of winter freeze up.

What it prevents

Water left in a skimmer expands as it freezes, and the skimmer body has nowhere to go. The Gizzmo sits inside and gives that expansion somewhere to be taken up, which is what keeps the skimmer from cracking over the winter.

This is the Regular size at 9 in. The listing title calls it out for above ground pools, and the manufacturer description says the Regular fits the short skimmers found in both above ground and in ground pools, so measure the depth of your skimmer before ordering.
