Product details

The Hide HSL12-2.5 is a 12 in. square skimmer lid kit built to be filled with your own deck material. Instead of a plastic lid interrupting the paving, the tray carries a cut paver, stone, tile or a pour of concrete, and the skimmer opening blends into the deck around it.

Depth matters

Hide sells the cover in several depths so the tray can be matched to the material going into it. This kit is the 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 in. (6 cm) version, which suits thicker pavers and stone, and also works for decks where the inlay is wet-pour concrete rather than a cut piece.

What you get

The complete Hide cover kit for a 12 in. square opening. You supply the inlay material. Once it is installed the cover lifts out for access to the skimmer basket and sits back down flush with the deck.

How thick can the paver or stone in the tray be?
This kit takes inlay material 2-1/4 to 2-1/2 in. thick, about 6 cm. Hide makes other depths, so measure your paver before choosing.
Can I use poured concrete instead of a paver?
Yes. The 6 cm depth is also suited to concrete wet-pour installations where the tray is filled in place.
What size is the cover?
12 in. square.
Does the material come with it?
No. The kit is the cover system. You supply the paver, stone, tile or concrete that fills the tray so it matches the rest of the deck.
