Old style versus later lids
Admiral skimmers went through more than one lid design, and the two are not interchangeable. The old style is a plain flat lid that drops into the collar. Later versions use tabs that lock into place. Look at the lid you are pulling off, and measure it, before ordering either one.
Why replace it
Deck lids take sun, foot traffic and the odd dropped pool pole. They go brittle, crack around the edge, or break through in the middle, and a broken lid is both a trip hazard and an open hole in the deck. This is the new OEM Pentair part, so it fits the collar the way the original did.
