Product details

The S.R. Smith 300-5000A is the housing for Splash! pool lifts: a vacuum formed ABS plastic cover in Gray Mist that shields the base assembly components from the weather.

Where it fits

Every Splash! parts list names 300-5000A: the Splash!, Splash! 300, Splash! Extended Reach and Extended Reach Hi/Lo, and the Splash! Hi/Lo and Spa, where it is called the Splash! Hi/Lo Housing.

Assembly

The housing must be in place before the mast assembly is installed. The mast base lowers onto the studs that come up through the housing and is held with washers and lock nuts, and an attachment cover then slides down over the housing to hide that hardware. The motor cable is uncoiled from the top of the housing and plugged into the control box.

Handling

When you set the base into its deck anchor, lift it by the metal handle on top of the housing, not by the plastic. The housing is what keeps the weather off the base assembly, so replace it once it cracks.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Which lifts use the 300-5000A housing?
The Splash!, Splash! 300, Splash! Hi/Lo and Spa, Splash! Extended Reach and Splash! Extended Reach Hi/Lo parts lists all name it.
Can I lift the Splash! base by the housing?
No. The manual says to lift the base unit by the metal handle on top of the housing and never by the plastic housing.
Do I have to take the mast off to change the housing?
The housing must be in place before the mast assembly is installed, because the mast bolts onto the studs that come up through it.
