Product details

The Tomcat Top Gun Maverick is a portable pool vacuum cleaner built around a 1.5 HP Reliant pump, part 020-015. It is listed for inground pools and rated for any pool type.

Self contained

The Maverick does not need a booster pump. It brings its own pressure, which means it is not limited by how the equipment pad was built or by what the pool plumbing can spare. On a service route where every pool is different, that is the difference between one machine that works everywhere and a cleaner that only suits half the accounts.

Portable, not installed

This is not a cleaner that lives in the pool. It is brought in, used, and moved on to the next job, which is why it shows up on service trucks and at commercial sites where a single machine has to cover several bodies of water.

Ordering

Match the part number 020-015 against your quote, and plan for a freight delivery rather than a parcel carrier.

Questions and answers

What people ask about this product, answered by our pool techs.

Does it need a booster pump?
No. The Maverick brings its own 1.5 HP Reliant pump, so it does not draw on the pool system for pressure.
What pools is it for?
Inground pools, and it is rated for any pool type.
Is it plumbed into the pool system?
No. It is a portable unit: brought to the pool, used, then taken away again. That is why it turns up on service routes and at sites with several bodies of water to cover.
How does it ship?
By freight. A portable vacuum carrying its own 1.5 HP pump is past parcel size and weight, so it arrives on a pallet.
