AutoPilot Salt Cells

14 products

AutoPilot cells go by three sets of names for the same sizes. The current replacement is a PPC number, and each one takes over from older SC and RC cells: PPC1 from the SC-36 and RC-35/22, PPC3 from the SC-48 and RC-42, PPC4 from the SC-60 and RC-52. Find any of those numbers on the old cell or its manifold and you have your size. ChlorSync systems are separate and use their own CS30 and CS50 cells.

About AutoPilot Salt Cells

AutoPilot PPC cells with unions, the commercial fifteen blade cell, ChlorSync cells, and CompuPool and CaliMar cells made for the SC and RC sizes.

Cells for other systems: Hayward, Pentair IntelliChlor, Jandy and Zodiac, CompuPool, Solaxx, CaliMar and Ecomatic. Every cell we carry is on salt cells, power centers and complete systems are under salt chlorine generators, and unions, cords, sensors and boards are in salt system parts.

Questions about AutoPilot Salt Cells

Which PPC cell replaces my AutoPilot SC or RC cell?

Match the old number to the new one. PPC1 replaces the SC-36, the RC-35/22, the RC-5 and the AP-150. PPC2 replaces the RC-28. PPC3 covers the SC-48 and RC-42, PPC4 the SC-60 and RC-52, and PPC5 the RC-15, CC-15 and AP-500. The cross brand cells are labelled the same way, by the SC, RC and PPC names together, with ratings of 35,000 gallons for the SC-36 size, 50,000 for the SC-48 and 60,000 for the SC-60.

Will a two prong cell fit a three pin AutoPilot cord?

The CompuPool cells are made for exactly that. Each of the three says it is a two prong cell that fits the three prong AutoPilot cell cord, so the cord you have plugs straight on. The largest of them adds that the cell cord is not included. One original is stricter: the PPC5 listing carries a warranty note that the cell cord must be replaced along with the cell, so on that size order the cord at the same time.

Do AutoPilot replacement cells come with unions?

Most do. PPC1 through PPC5 are each sold as a replacement cell with unions, and the three CompuPool cells list unions as included. The exception is the commercial fifteen blade cell, which has one union and one threaded end and is sold as the cell only. That one is a different animal in any case: it is rated for up to 80,000 gallons and 2.5 pounds of chlorine a day.

Which Pool Pilot systems do the PPC cells fit?

PPC1 and PPC3 are listed for the Pool Pilot Digital Nano, Digital, 75003 and Soft Touch. PPC5 is listed for the Digital, 75003 and Soft Touch. PPC4 is the one for an AutoPilot Digital with CoPilot XL on the PPC4 manifold. The PPC1, PPC3 and PPC5 listings also mention an inline strainer and a three way sensor for flow, salt level and water temperature. The strainer is worth emptying while the cell is out.
