What is the difference between a Jandy PLC1400 and an R0452400?
The cell is the same three port, fourteen blade, 40,000 gallon cell. What changes is what comes with it. PLC1400 is the full kit: cell, 16 ft cable, two universal unions, a sensor tee, the slotted sensor, a pressure switch, a flow sensor and o-rings. R0452400 is the cell with its union kit and cell cord and no sensor. So buy R0452400 when your sensor is still reading properly, and PLC1400 when you want every wearing part renewed at once.
Which cell fits a Jandy TruClear?
Part number R0693900. It is described as the TruClear PCB salt cell replacement assembly for the Jandy Pro Series TruClear chlorine generating system, and it is the cell we list for that system. An AquaPure three port cell is a different part for a different power pack, so the name on the box matters here more than the pool size. The TruClear power pack, if that is what failed, is listed with the generators.
Can I replace a two port AquaPure cell with a three port?
With the Jandy kit, yes. The PLC1400 lists AquaPure two port cells as what it replaces, and it ships with universal unions, a sensor tee and the sensors, which is the plumbing a changeover needs. The CompuPool three port cell says the opposite about itself: it replaces the three port 1400 cell and is not compatible with two port cells. So on a two port system the Jandy kit is the route, and the CompuPool cell is for a pool already on three ports.
Is there a cross brand cell for a Nature2 Fusion Soft?
Two, both from CaliMar. One is made for the Fusion Soft 1400's R0503000 electrode and rated to 40,000 gallons; the other is for the Fusion Soft 700, model R0502800, at 12,000 gallons, and describes its plates as titanium with a platinum coating. Zodiac's own kits are here too. The 1400 kit includes the cell, a replacement electrode and an o-ring, and notes that the mineral cartridge and the DC cord are bought separately.
