The Zodiac R0511400 is the genuine replacement electrode for the AquaPure Ei 35 salt chlorine generator. It is the part that actually makes chlorine from the salt in the water.
Why the electrode is what wears out
Everything else in a salt system, the power supply and the plumbing, tends to outlast the cell. The electrode plates carry the current that converts salt to chlorine, and that coating gradually gives up. The symptom is familiar: salt level reads fine, settings are turned up, and the pool still cannot hold a residual. Replacing the electrode is what brings output back.
Before you order
Confirm your unit is an Ei 35, since the Ei series uses different electrodes by size. The R0738500 o-ring is not supplied with this electrode, so inspect the old seal while the cell is apart and add a fresh one if it is flat, cracked or hardened.
