Product details
This is the CompuPool JD363130D, the replacement salt cell electrode for the CPSC36 chlorination system. It is the blade pack alone, sold for the common case where the housing on the pad is still in good shape and only the cell inside it has worn out.
Output and pool size
The CPSC36 electrode carries seven titanium blades and produces up to nearly two pounds of chlorine per day, which covers pools up to 40,000 gallons. Salinity is set and held at the power center, so day to day chlorination happens without hauling buckets of chemical to the pool.
What is in the box, and what is not
The unit housing, the unions and the O-rings are not included. Adding a new cord at the same time as the electrode is worth doing, since the cord has been in the same weather for the same number of years. If your housing is cracked or crazed, order the complete cell with housing instead of this electrode.
Keeping it alive
Scale is what kills a cell early. Periodic cleaning with a simple mixture of water and muriatic acid clears the blades and holds output up. A cell that still runs low after a proper clean has reached the end of its blade life.
