The CompuPool CPX16-RC is the OEM replacement salt cell for the CPX series salt water chlorine generator, rated for pools up to 20,000 gallons and supplied with a 7 ft cord.
Why cells get replaced
A salt cell makes chlorine by passing current through salted pool water across coated plates. Those plates wear out with use, which is why the cell is the consumable part of a salt system while the power module carries on. When output falls off and the water will not hold chlorine, the cell is normally what has reached the end of its life.
The CPX connection
CompuPool uses a cell lead that is waterproof and positively locks to the power module, so the connection at the pad does not depend on a push fit staying dry. The cell housing is UV stabilized for hot, bright and hard weather conditions.

Check the capacity of the cell you are removing. This is the 20,000 gallon CPX cell, and CompuPool builds other sizes in the same series. The power module is not included, and CompuPool covers the cell with a 2 year full warranty.
