The CompuPool JD363CPSC-O-KIT is the o-ring seal kit for CPSC series salt chlorinator cells. It carries the JD363PIPO and JD363ECM rings, the two seals that keep the cell assembly watertight.
Why seals fail
An o-ring in a chlorinator lives in salt water on one side and generated chlorine on the other, compressed the whole time. It hardens, takes a set and eventually stops sealing. The symptom is a slow weep at the cell that shows up as a white salt crust on the pad long before it becomes a visible drip.
When to fit it
Change the seals whenever the cell comes apart, and especially when a new electrode goes in. New parts on old rings is the most common reason a cell leaks straight after service. This kit is seals only; the electrode, the clear housing body and the housing nut are ordered separately.
