The CompuPool CPP155-143P is the union blanking cap for CPX Series salt cells. It threads onto the union the cell normally sits in and seals it.
What it solves
A salt cell is spliced into the return line on a pair of unions. Take the cell out and you have an open pipe. The blanking cap closes it so the system can be pressurized, drained or run without the cell fitted.
Where it earns its keep
Cells come out for winter storage in cold climates, and they come out for cleaning and testing during the season. Both leave a hole in the plumbing. Having the right cap already on the shelf turns that into a two minute job instead of an afternoon looking for a fitting that seals.
