The CompuPool JD363130B is the replacement salt cell electrode for the CPSC16 chlorination system. It uses four titanium blades and is sized for pools up to 20,000 gallons.
What is and is not in the box
This is the electrode alone. The cell housing, the unions and the o-rings are not included, so the existing hardware is reused. It is worth fitting a new cord whenever the cell or electrode is replaced, since the cord ages on the same schedule as the cell and a second teardown is the last thing anyone wants.
Living with a salt system
The electrode converts dissolved salt into chlorine, and salinity is managed from the power center rather than by dosing the pool by hand. The result is water that feels smooth rather than harsh. Output falls off as scale builds on the blades, and periodic cleaning in a mixture of water and muriatic acid is part of normal upkeep.
