This is the OEM CompuPool replacement salt cell with housing for the CPX 48 and CPSC48 chlorination systems, part number JD363130E-COMPL.
What the 48 rating means
The CPSC48 uses 10 titanium blades and produces up to 2.5 pounds of chlorine per day, enough for pools up to 60,000 gallons. Salinity is set and read at the power center, and a system holding the right salt level gives water that swims softer than a heavily dosed traditional pool.
Match the model before you order
CompuPool cells are sized to the system. This one is for the CPX 48 and CPSC48 and nothing else. The smaller CPSC16, rated for roughly 20,000 gallons, uses a different cell entirely. The model number is on the power center, so read it before ordering rather than measuring the old cell.
What is not in the box
Unions and O-rings do not come with the cell. Plan to reuse yours or have replacements on hand. It is also worth fitting a new cell cord at the same time: the cord has spent the same years in the same weather as the cell it is attached to, and replacing both at once saves a second shutdown.
