The CompuPool GRC40GH is a replacement salt cell for Hayward systems that run the T-Cell-15, sized for pools up to 40,000 gallons. It ships with its cord attached and costs noticeably less than the OEM cell.

See what the cell is doing

The housing is clear. With the pump running you can watch the plates and the stream of chlorine bubbles that tells you the cell is producing. The same view shows calcium scale building on the plates, so you clean the cell when it actually needs it rather than on a fixed schedule.

Cleaning

Scale comes off with a soak in a solution of water and muriatic acid. Rinse the cell and put it back in line. Cleaning only when scale is visible extends the life of the plate coating.

CompuPool has made saltwater chlorination equipment for more than 30 years, and this generic cell follows the same approach as the rest of their line: a straightforward, lower cost swap for the OEM part.

Does this fit a Hayward AquaRite that uses a T-Cell-15?
Yes. The GRC40GH is built as a replacement for the T-Cell-15, which is the 40,000 gallon cell used on Hayward salt systems.
Does it come with the cord?
Yes. The cord is included and attached to the cell.
How do I know if the cell is working?
The housing is clear, so with the pump running and the system generating you can see the plates and the fine bubbles of chlorine gas coming off them.
How do I clean it?
When scale shows on the plates, remove the cell and soak the plate end in a solution of water and muriatic acid until the calcium dissolves, then rinse and reinstall. Clean only when scale is present, since acid washing wears the plate coating over time.
