The CaliMar CMARCAP42-2Y is a replacement salt cell built to fit AutoPilot chlorine generator systems, specifically the RC-42, SC-48 and PPC3. It carries a 50,000 gallon rating.

When a cell needs replacing

Salt cells wear out. The plates lose their coating over years of service, output falls, and the pool runs short on chlorine even with the controller turned up. Once cleaning the cell no longer brings output back, the cell itself is the part to change.
