Product details

The CaliMar CMARSHA25-3Y is a complete salt chlorinator system for inground pools of up to 25,000 gallons.

How salt chlorination works

Salt is dissolved in the pool water and the system converts it to chlorine as water passes through the cell. The chlorine sanitizes the pool, then reverts to salt, and the cycle repeats. The result is chlorinated water without carrying tablets or jugs to the pool every week.

Sizing

This system is rated to 25,000 gallons. Matching the rating to your actual pool volume matters: a system asked to cover more water than it is rated for runs flat out to keep up, which shortens the life of the cell and still leaves you chasing chlorine in hot weather.

It is supplied as a complete system for inground pools.

What size pool is this for?

Is this a complete system or just the cell?
A complete system. It is sold as the full salt chlorinator rather than a replacement cell.
My pool is larger than 25,000 gallons. Can I still use it?
It is rated to 25,000 gallons. On a larger pool it would have to run at or near full output constantly, so a system rated for your actual volume is the better choice.
Does a salt system mean no chlorine?
No. A salt chlorinator makes chlorine on site from the salt dissolved in the water. The water is still chlorinated, you are simply not adding tablets or liquid by hand.
