The Pentair 520556 is the IntelliChlor PC100 power center, a 110/220V unit that drives the IntelliChlor salt chlorinator cells. It covers the IC20, IC40 and IC60.
What the power center does
An IntelliChlor system has two halves. The cell sits in the plumbing and converts dissolved salt into chlorine, and the power center supplies and controls it. Without a working power center the cell is inert, and the pool goes back to hand dosing.
Before you replace it
A salt system that has stopped producing can fail at either end. Check the cell first, since a scaled or worn cell shows the same symptom as a dead power center. If the cell tests out and the power center does not drive it, this kit is the replacement. It accepts either a 110V or a 220V supply.
