Product details

The Hayward AquaTrol is a complete electronic salt chlorine generator built for above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. It carries the same functions and features as the Aqua Rite, the standard for inground salt systems, with chlorine output scaled to a smaller body of water.

Return jet, straight blade

This is the RJ model, which installs at the pool return rather than in the pad plumbing, so it suits above ground pools without rigid pipe to cut a cell into. The straight blade plug matches a standard receptacle; Hayward also offers a twist lock version for systems wired that way.

How big a pool will the AquaTrol handle?
Above ground pools up to 18,000 gallons. For larger pools, or inground pools, step up to the Aqua Rite.
How is it different from the Aqua Rite?
It has the same functions and features as the Aqua Rite, but with lower chlorine output, which is all an above ground pool of this size needs.
What does straight blade mean?
It describes the power plug. This version has a standard straight blade plug; Hayward also sells a twist lock version for pumps and timers wired with twist lock receptacles.
What is the return jet version?
The RJ model installs at the pool return, which suits above ground pools that do not have rigid pad plumbing to cut a cell into.
