Silver Algaedyn is a concentrated algaecide for swimming pools and spas built on colloidal silver rather than copper. The silver particles interfere with the essential metabolic activity of algae cells, which kills every form of living algae, including black algae that resists most treatments, and leaves a residual that keeps new growth from starting.

Easy on the filter

Algae slime is what clogs a filter and shortens the run between backwashes. Because Silver Algaedyn stops the slime from forming, it has no adverse effect on filters and helps keep them clean and free flowing, so filtration cycles run longer and there is less backwashing to do.

How to use it

Pour it into the skimmer, add it directly through the filter, or introduce it on the line leading to the filter. It is compatible with chlorine and other pool chemicals and works with your sanitizer rather than against it. The first dose is best added while the pool is filling, since even fresh water can carry algae in; after that, use it as an ongoing preventive. The bottle is 32 oz, one quart.
