Poolife Defend+, part number 62076, is a non-foaming algaecide and clarifier for green, black and yellow algae, safe for pools with attached water features and hot tubs.
What it does
Defend+ treats and helps prevent green, black and yellow algae while also clarifying pool water. Because it is non-foaming, it can be used where standard foaming algaecides cannot, including hot tubs and pools with water features.
How to use it
For clean pools, apply 8 to 12 fl oz per 10,000 gallons as an initial treatment. For pools with visible algae, use 16 to 24 fl oz per 10,000 gallons, then vacuum out dead algae. For black algae, apply 16 fl oz per 10,000 gallons when it first appears, brushing affected spots daily and vacuuming settled algae. To maintain a pool free of visible algae, use 4 to 8 fl oz per 10,000 gallons weekly.
Before you order
Do not mix concentrated Defend+ with other concentrated pool chemicals such as concentrated dry or liquid chlorine. Once properly diluted in pool water, it is compatible with normal pool treatment chemicals.
