Leisure Time Spa 56 is a concentrated dichlor granular chlorine made for hot water, supplied here in a 2 pound container. It handles both routine sanitizing and shock treatment.

Routine use

Half an ounce per 500 gallons of water, aiming to hold a chlorine residual between 2 and 3 parts per million. That is the day to day program that keeps a spa clean and clear between heavier treatments.

Shock treatment

For a shock dose, add 1 ounce for every 500 gallons. Once the residual has come back down to 2 to 3 ppm, resume the routine program. As always, the label on the container carries the complete instructions and takes priority over any summary.

Why a spa specific product

Hot water is a harder environment than a pool. It burns off sanitizer faster, carries a much higher bather load per gallon, and turns over a small volume constantly. A concentrated granular formula built for that dissolves fast and lets you correct the water quickly rather than waiting on a slow feeder.
