Stain Solution #1, part JMIRON1, is the iron, cobalt and spot etching product in the Jack's Magic stain range. It comes in a 1 lb bottle and is non-acidic, so the treatment goes in without an acid product joining your water chemistry.
What it removes
Iron and cobalt stains and spot etching, on all types of pool surfaces. Iron stains are the rust colored marks that show up under the water line; cobalt shows as dark spotting; spot etching leaves small pitted marks. Treatment happens with the pool full, so there is no draining, no acid wash and no refill.
Dose and timing
The dose is 2 lbs per 12,000 gallons, so plan how many bottles the pool needs before you start. Once treated, these stains normally lift easily and effectively within 48 hours, and the water needs only minimal rebalancing of the other chemicals afterward.
