Product details
The Blue Stuff is the copper product in the Jack's Magic metal line, part number JMBLUE032, supplied in a 32 oz bottle. Its blend is made to remove copper from the water rather than simply mask it.
Why copper turns up in a pool
Copper reaches pool water from fill water, from certain algaecides and from equipment, and once it is there it can stain surfaces and tint the water. Treating the metal itself is what keeps those problems from coming back.
Dosing
Add one quart, the full bottle, per 10,000 gallons of pool water to begin. After that, 6 to 8 oz per 10,000 gallons each week is the maintenance rate. The product is also stable at higher chlorine levels, which is what lets it stay in service through heavy chlorination and in many fountain and water feature applications.
