Leisure Time pH Balance Plus is a granular spa balancer that sets the pH of the water and then holds it there. It is added when you fill the spa, and it is built to carry that balance through to the next water change instead of being topped up every week.
Why pH that will not sit still is worth fixing
Spa water is a small volume at high temperature with heavy aeration, so pH climbs and falls faster than pool water does. Water that swings out of range stains and scales surfaces, corrodes heater and pump components, and leaves bathers with itchy skin and stinging eyes. Holding pH steady is what prevents all of that, and it also lets the sanitizer work the way it is supposed to.
Dosing
Add 1.5 lb for a spa of up to 250 gallons, or the entire 3 lb bottle for a spa up to 500 gallons. Turn the jets on and let the water circulate for about 15 minutes. The water may go briefly cloudy while the granules dissolve and will clear on its own.
Which version you need
This is the Plus formula, the one intended for hard water. Leisure Time offers a separate pH Balance for soft water areas, so check your calcium hardness before ordering. It works alongside chlorine, bromine, ozone and mineral systems. Always read the label on the container and use as directed.
