Natural Chemistry Green Aid is an algae cleanup treatment supplied in a 2 lb container. It is used ahead of a shock treatment, not in place of one.
How it fits the treatment
Green Aid goes into the water first, then the pool is shocked with an EPA registered chlorinating compound that kills green or mustard algae. Typical results appear within 24 hours of that sequence.
Where it holds up
Two things that usually work against an algae treatment do not stop this one. It works well at higher pH, 7.8 and above, and high levels of cyanuric acid do not affect it. It also works alongside salt chlorine generators.
No metals
Nothing metallic is added to the water, so there is no staining risk from the treatment itself, and it can be used on all pool surfaces.
