Product details

Proteam Prevent is a 50 percent quat based algaecide supplied in a 1 qt. bottle. It is listed for both preventing algae and clearing it once it has started, in above ground, in ground, residential and commercial pools.

How to dose it

For the initial treatment, add 1 quart per 25,000 gallons of water. After that, 5 ounces per 10,000 gallons weekly keeps the pool under control. Check the water first: performance is best with the pH between 7.2 and 7.6.

Why a quat

This is a non staining, low foaming, pH neutral solution that is compatible with all forms of sanitizer, so it drops into an existing routine without changing anything else. At 50 percent it is a strong concentration, which is what makes a single quart an economical way to keep a smaller pool clear through the season.
