Proteam pH Down is a dry pH decreaser supplied in a 3 lb container. It lowers pH and total alkalinity in pool and spa water.

Why pH is the first number to fix

Chlorine gets steadily weaker as pH rises, so a pool that reads a healthy chlorine level but sits high on pH is still under sanitized. Water held above range also tends to lay scale down on surfaces, heater elements and salt cells. Correcting pH before reaching for more chlorine is usually the cheaper fix, and a balanced pool needs less sanitizer and less attention over a season.

Handling

Because this is a dry product there is no liquid acid to pour or store, which is the main reason owners choose it. Follow the label for dose rates against your pool volume and current reading, add it with the pump running, and retest before adding more.
