Product details
Proteam Microfloc is a liquid water clarifier in a 1 quart bottle. It works on the particles that make water look dull, the ones small enough to pass straight through the filter and come back into the pool.
How it works
A clarifier does not kill anything. It gathers fine suspended material into clumps big enough for the filter to catch, and it makes no distinction between a speck of dirt and an algae spore, so both get bound up and pulled out on the next few turnovers. Used week after week, that steady removal of spores reduces how much algaecide a pool actually needs.
Dosing
Start with 14 ounces per 10,000 gallons with the pump and filter running, then hold the water with a weekly maintenance dose of 4 ounces per 10,000 gallons. Swimming can resume 15 minutes after application. It is listed for above ground and inground pools in both residential and commercial use.
