Product details

Proteam Supreme PLUS is a pool water treatment supplied here in the 20 pound size. It is listed as both a clarifier and an algae preventative, and it does not call for a pH adjustment once it is in the water.

What it does to the water

Treated water feels softer and holds its balance with less correction, which is the reason most owners keep it in the routine. It is rated for above ground and in ground pools, and for residential and commercial water alike.

How to apply it

Clean the filter if it needs it and get the water balanced first. Apply with the pump running and nobody in the pool. The initial treatment is 2 to 3.5 pounds per 1,000 gallons, split into two equal doses 8 hours apart. Swimming can resume 15 minutes after the product goes in.
