Bio-Dex Aquadex 50 Stain Off, part number ADQ04, is a 1 gallon stain remover for metal staining in pools and spas.
What it removes
Copper, iron and metallic stains from plaster pools, and the black cobalt staining that turns up on fiberglass surfaces. These are the stains that will not brush out because they are not dirt sitting on the surface, they are metal that has plated onto it.
What to expect
Results show up over days rather than minutes. Anywhere from 48 hours to about 10 days is normal, and where a stain sits in that range depends mostly on how long it has been there. Fresh staining lifts quickly; a stain that has been building through a whole season takes the longer end.
Working conditions
Chlorine, acid and other sanitizing products do not compromise how it works, so the treatment does not hinge on stripping the water first. It is also stable at higher temperatures, which makes it usable in a spa and not only in a cool pool. For difficult metal staining during an acid wash, it can be mixed with Plaster White n Brite as a booster.
