Natural Chemistry Scale Free is a preventative treatment for scale and mineral staining, supplied here in a 2 liter bottle as part 7511.
What it is for
Hard water carries calcium, and fill water and equipment can carry iron and copper. Left alone, those minerals come out of solution as scale on tile and surfaces and as stains on plaster. Scale Free works against that build up without using phosphates or harsh acids, and it is listed as compatible with all pool surfaces.
Salt pools
Salt chlorine generators are where scale does the most expensive damage, because a coated cell produces less chlorine and eventually stops. Scale Free is made to keep the plates clear so the cell holds its output.
How to use it
Add the initial dose from the dosage chart directly to the pool, and double it if water hardness is above 500 ppm. Brushing is part of the treatment. After that, add the monthly maintenance dose through the season. On a new, remodeled or refinished pool, follow the initial dosage and add it while the pool is filling to help prevent plaster dust, scaling and metal staining.
