Bio-Dex Quick-Spray Cartridge Cleaner is a filter cleaner supplied in a 1 quart bottle, part number CART32. It is made to be sprayed onto a cartridge element and rinsed straight off.

Two ways to use it

The quick way is the one it is named for: pull the cartridge, hose the loose debris off, spray the cleaner into the pleats and rinse. For an element that has been in service a while and is holding oils and fine dirt deep in the pleats, the same product can be diluted and the cartridge left to soak instead.

Why it matters

A dirty cartridge is not just a filter problem. It restricts flow, which makes the pump work harder, drops the turnover rate and leaves the water looking dull no matter what the chemistry says. Cleaning on a schedule is what gets full life out of an element rather than replacing it early.
