The Natural Chemistry Pro Series Coverfree 20711 is a 1 gallon liquid solar blanket that forms an invisible barrier on pool or spa water to reduce evaporation and heat loss.

What it does

Coverfree uses mono-layer technology to form a barrier on the water surface. The barrier conserves water and heating energy, and Natural Chemistry says it helps conserve hundreds of gallons of pool water. Its surface tension helps it stay in place and reform quickly after wind or bathers disturb the water. The formula is pH neutral.

How to use it

The dose is 4 oz (120 ml) per 20,000 gallons (75,000 L) or 667 square feet of surface per week. Use the measuring guide on the side of the bottle and squeeze the recommended dose over the surface of the pool water. As a guide, an average rectangle pool of 18 ft x 36 ft or an average round pool of 28 ft holds about 20,000 gallons.
