Quick overview
- Tops up an installed unit Minerals leave the water through backwashing, splash out and algae kill, and the booster puts them back.
- For 20K to 30K gallon pools This is the black and white +Plus booster sized for that range.
- Copper, zinc and silver Active ingredients are copper sulphate pentahydrate, zinc sulfate monohydrate and silver nitrate.
- Goes in the basket, not the unit The booster dissolves into the pool water; you do not open the PoolRx unit to add it.
- Leave the unit in place The existing PoolRx stays where it is while the booster minerals dissolve.
- Roughly twice a year The maker says minerals generally need replacing every 4 to 6 months depending on swim conditions.

Product details
The PoolRx 332066 is the +Plus Booster in black and white for pools of 20K to 30K gallons. It is the mineral top up for a pool already running a PoolRx unit.
Why a booster
Minerals do not stay in the water forever. They go out with backwash water, over the coping as splash out, and are consumed when they kill algae. The +Plus booster carries the additional minerals needed to replace what has been lost, and it can also be used to bring mineral levels up quickly on a larger pool when a PoolRx unit is first installed.
How it goes in
These minerals do not go back inside the PoolRx unit. Leave the unit where it is, clean and backwash the filter, clear the skimmer and pump basket, then add the booster to the skimmer or pump basket so it dissolves into the water. Run the pump through the heat of the day for at least three to four hours so the minerals dissolve fully rather than settling in the filter, and leave the filter alone for at least two weeks afterward. Dose to the label on the container. It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
What is in it
Active ingredients are copper sulphate pentahydrate at 86.85 percent, zinc sulfate monohydrate at 1.51 percent and silver nitrate at 0.40 percent, with other ingredients making up the remaining 11.24 percent. PoolRx expects the minerals to need replacing roughly every 4 to 6 months depending on swim conditions.
