What the 70 micron rating buys you

A coarse bag catches leaves and gravel. A 70 micron bag catches the material that actually makes water look cloudy: silt, sand dust, pollen and the fine grit that a coarse bag lets straight through. On a robot, the bag is the whole filtration system, so its rating decides what the machine can actually remove.

The bag covers Deluxe 4, Deluxe 5, DX6, Triton, Edge, Discovery, Wave 75, Nautilus, Premier, Prowler 820 and 830, and Quest.

Keeping it working

Rinse the bag out at the end of each cycle and let it dry rather than storing it packed with wet debris. Replace it when the fabric tears, when the mouth has stretched enough to let debris escape past the frame, or when a thorough rinse no longer brings it back. A tired bag shows up as a cleaner that runs its full pattern and still leaves a haze on the floor.

Which cleaners does it fit?
Deluxe 4, Deluxe 5, DX6, Triton, Edge, Discovery, Wave 75, Nautilus, Premier, Prowler 820 and 830, and Quest.
What does 70 micron mean in practice?
It is the fine bag. It holds back much smaller particles than a coarse debris bag, which is what you want for silt, sand dust and pollen rather than only leaves.
How often should I replace it?
When the fabric is torn, stretched at the mouth, or no longer rinses clean. A bag that stays grey after washing has stopped filtering the way it should.
Can I wash it?
Rinse it out with a hose after each cycle and let it dry. Regular rinsing is the single biggest thing that keeps pickup strong and extends the life of the bag.
