The Hammerhead Hitch Adapter with U-Bolt for Mount Assembly, 2 Inch, HH1301, is the hitch adapter that joins the Hammerhead Service vacuum mount upright to a 2 inch Reese type hitch receiver on a truck.
What it is for
Hammerhead mounts the Service-21 and Service-30 to a truck with a 2 inch Reese type hitch receiver, and the HH1301 is the adapter piece between the mount and that receiver. Resort units use a different cart and do not mount, so this part is for the Service line.
Installation rules
Hammerhead is specific about the adapter. Never install it on the mount upright with only one U-bolt, and never drill additional holes in it or modify it in any way. The mount must always be secured to the receiver with a hitch pin, and the clamp and mount should be inspected regularly for tightness and wear.
What is not included
The adapter and U-bolt only. The upright, the stainless mount clamp and the complete HH1306 mount assembly are ordered on their own. The current listing names one U-bolt, while Hammerhead guidance refers to U-bolts in the plural, so compare against the hardware on your mount.
