Why the micron rating matters
A robotic cleaner is only as good as what it holds onto. A coarse bag will pick up leaves and grit but pushes silt, pollen and fine dust straight back out through the weave, which is why a pool can look hazy right after a cleaning cycle. The 50 micron bag traps that fine material, so what the cleaner lifts stays lifted.
Care and replacement
Rinse the bag out after each run rather than letting debris dry into the cloth. A heavy duty bag will last a long time treated that way, but the cloth does eventually thin and the seams give. Once it no longer holds fines after a proper wash, it is done.
Check the bag mounting on your cleaner against the one you are taking out. Dolphin uses several bag and cartridge formats across its range, and the mounting is what decides fit.
