This is the Rocky's Reel Systems #3 portable residential reel, supplied as the end system only with 4 inch hubs. It is built in die cast aluminum with a baked enamel finish.
End system only
You are buying the two ends and the hardware that makes the reel work. The tube is ordered separately so it can be cut to the width of your pool, which is how reel systems are normally sold at this size. This unit is similar to the #3A but is built around 4 inch diameter heavy duty 12 sided anodized commercial tubing, and ground clearance to the underside of the tube runs about 8.75 inches.
Portable by design
The frame rolls on quality castors, so in most cases one person can move the whole reel off the deck when the pool is in use and bring it back for covering. A positive anchoring system holds it in position while you crank, which is what keeps a portable reel from walking across the deck under load.
Built to stay outside
Die cast aluminum with a baked enamel finish is light for its strength and is not affected by sunlight or freezing cold, so the reel can live on the deck through the season and into winter without deteriorating.
