Product details
This is Rocky's Reel Systems vinyl strapping, part number 587, supplied in a 22 ft length. It is listed among the parts and accessories for Rocky's Easy Rollers reel systems.
What strapping does
The strapping is what attaches a solar blanket to the reel tube. Spaced evenly across the width of the cover, the straps pull the blanket on squarely so it winds up straight and comes off the same way. Too few straps, or straps that have stretched, and the cover starts rolling crooked.
Why it is a consumable
Strapping sits in full sun and chlorinated water all season. Vinyl stiffens, cracks and eventually tears at the fastening holes, so replacing it is routine maintenance on a reel rather than a repair.
