Product details
Maintain Pool Pro non-toxic pool antifreeze, part number 4-5990, is a 1 gallon bottle of propylene glycol antifreeze used when closing a pool for the winter.
What it does
Pool antifreeze is poured into plumbing lines, skimmers, and equipment after the water has been blown out, filling the space so freezing water has room to expand without cracking hard piping or fittings. This formula is labeled non-toxic and is built around propylene glycol, which is rated to help protect lines down into negative degree temperatures over the off season.
Formula
The 4-5990 is a liquid, odorless formula. The color can vary by batch, showing up red, blue or clear, which does not change how the antifreeze performs.
Selling unit
The 4-5990 is sold individually as a 1 gallon bottle. Reference part number 4-5990 when ordering, and buy enough bottles to cover every line being closed.
