Product details

The Lasco 436-213 is a 1-1/2 by 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC reducer male adapter, with 1-1/2 inch male pipe threads on one end and a 2 inch slip socket on the other.

What it does

A male adapter converts a slip size pipe run to a threaded connection, and this reducer version steps the size down at the same time, from 2 inch slip pipe down to a 1-1/2 inch male thread.

Fit and compatibility

The slip end glues onto 2 inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe, and the threaded end fits 1-1/2 inch female pipe thread fittings or equipment ports.

Before you order

Confirm which side needs to be threaded and which needs to glue onto pipe, since a straight, non-reducing adapter is needed instead if both ends are meant to be the same size. Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape or thread sealant before screwing the adapter into a female fitting.
