Choosing the right bag
Power Vac offers more than one bag for the PV2100. This micron version is the general purpose choice: fine enough to hold silt and small particles while still taking leaves and larger debris. A super fine mesh bag and a heavy duty bag are listed separately for pools that need finer filtration or a tougher fabric.
When to replace it
A filter bag is a wearing item. Seams split, fabric thins and pores load up with material that will not rinse out. When any of that happens the cleaner still runs but stops keeping what it collects, and debris ends up back on the floor.
